London's A.B. Lucas Secondary School, located on the northern boundary of this city of about 250,000 people, is in its twelfth year of operation.
Mr. Barrett has been director of the music department since the school first opened its doors in 1963. About two hundred and twenty students take part in the music program.
The Senior Band is made up of students from grades 11, 12, and 13. The Dance Band, this year under the direction of grade 12 student, Ed Steer, draws its membership from the Senior Band.
The most recent adventure by this group was a trip to Great Britain to play a concert tour in the spring of 1973.
