STORIES IN SOUND AUDIO DOCUMENTARY WORKSHOP SOUND FILES
On March 17, 2008 CHRW hosted an audio documentary workshop featuring two excellent guest speakers. The workshop was well attended, and great stories, tips, and questions were heard.
David Scott is currently the editor of the Western Alumni Gazette, and he has also worked for many years at the CBC. He is a long-time community radio supporter, and has been a host of a jazz show on CFRU in Guelph, as well as a news reporter at CKLN at Ryerson. He is a successful writer and playwright, and his 2006 production "The Ballad of Stompin' Tom" was a popular and critical success at the Blyth Festival.
Wendie Crouch is a faculty member of Western's Graduate Journalism Program, and she been teaching since the inception of the program. She has a diploma in Radio and Television Arts from Fanshawe and a BA in sociology from UWO. She does some freelance audio production but finds her real strength is training young broadcast journalists in the art of sound. She's extremely proud to have taught many of the brightest lights working in radio today.
